Ronald McDonald House Charity Meal

At the end of July, two of FitzGerald Consulting’s Senior Consultants, Roger Woodhead and Paul McNamara, gave up their time to cook a meal for the children and families at New Zealand’s Ronald McDonald House.

Insurance Australia Group (IAG), one of FitzGerald Consulting’s major clients, is a keen supporter of the charity, and Paul and Roger joined the company’s staff in volunteering their cooking skills for the day. Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) provides accommodation and support to the families of children undergoing long-term medical care, enabling the family to stay together and maintain a normal life under difficult circumstances. RMHC is partnered with hospitals across the world, and offers close-by accommodation to the families, as well as education and specialist care to the children. With 324 houses in 57 countries, RMHC is one of the leading children’s charities in the world. Like most charities, RMHC relies on the generous support of volunteers in order to function.

Roger Woodhead and Paul McNamara work in New Zealand as part of FitzGerald Consulting’s Earthquake Catastrophe Claims Settling team (CAT). For more information about Ronald McDonald House Charities, or how you can get involved, please visit their website: http://www.rmhc.org.uk/
