Dual qualified Chartered Civil Engineer and Chartered Loss Adjuster with a Master’s degree in geotechnical engineering and over 25 years’ loss adjusting experience, including catastrophes and other major losses, preceded by over ten years in civil and geotechnical engineering practices in both the public and private sectors.


Investigation and settlement of property and civil engineering losses, particularly any involving foundation or geotechnical issues, and related provision of pre-litigation advice, CPR Part 35 compliant reports and presentation of Expert Witness evidence, most particularly with regard to subrogated recoveries following subsidence damage.


Expert witness advice for quantum issues in connection with a subrogated recovery following a major fire, and for liability issues in connection with an allegation of professional negligence by a loss adjuster; second opinions in respect of liability losses involving an alleged failure of a railway embankment and inundation of a school following an escape of water from a major water main; a wide range of multi-million dollar commercial and industrial property damage losses as a member of the award winning multi-disciplinary FCL catastrophe team that in 2010-11 responded to the Chilean earthquake; and property damage losses to a variety of high value faith and educational buildings as part of the FCL team deployed to Christchurch New Zealand in 2011-12 following the series of earthquakes there, and further involvement with outstanding high value domestic building losses in Christchurch during 2014-15.
